SWOP-Kenya Learning site was established by the Kenya National AIDS and STI Control Program (NASCOP) to demonstrate implementation of a comprehensive HIV prevention and care program for key populations, with special emphasis on behavioral and structural interventions.
The Learning Site offers hands-on training for implementing partners from within Kenya and beyond to learn key strategies and processes through experience sharing and shadowing the staff both at the sites and at the outreach. The main objectives of the Learning Site include:
- To capacity build new implementing partners on key population programming approaches.
- To disseminate best practice on key population programming for replication by other partners
- To generate strategic information that contributes to development of national KP tools, guidelines and policies
